In Stuttgart an American Military Tribunal sentenced the eleven accused of having made bomb-attempts on the Spruchkammern of Stuttgart and surroundings. In the course of the trial the poisoning of a whole generation became shockingly evident, the mental distortien of young people who - imbued with nationalsocial doctrines - have come to regard violence and destruction as their only purpose of living.

The commander-in-chief of the British Zone of Occupation, Air-marshal Sir Sholto Douglas, visited the coal-mine Hansa near Dortmund. c. Field Marshal Smuts
The Prime-Minister of South-Africa, Field-marshal Smuts on invitation of the Greek government visited Athens on his way back from the UNO meeting in New York. Here he was made a freeman of Athens and received an honorary academic degree.

In Munich, the leading teams of South-Germany, 1.1. FC Nürnberg and Munich 1860, met in the finals. Inspite of frost and snow 35.000 spectators came to see this important event.
