The Bavarian Youth Circle arranged an "Exhibition of Youth" in Munich. The versatile show gives a cross-section of the social condition of present-day German youth. b. Obersalzberg: Transformation of a farm
The buildings on Obersalzberg which were erected for the Nazi leaders and cost hundreds of millions of marks are destroyed. The luxuri[...] villas were destroyed, but Hitler's farm below the "Berghof" is still partly usable, and is now being remodeled into an Agricultural School, which hopes to open next year.

The population is forced to help themselves Thousands of men, women and children work at the dykes. Sand, clay and building material is given from one hand to the other. They work in the same old primitive way without machines. They try to save their crops from the sunken rice-fields. China suffers - - each single grain of rice is precious. So they harvest underwater. Millions lost their homes. Following the inundation - starvation.
Rice and other food stuffs are distributed among the people. Children and the sick have priority. But all measures of help can only solve a part of this undescribable privation.

04. Sports :

a. Rowing Championships, Mannheim
Muehlharbor in Mannheim was the scene of the German Rowing Championships. Boats from all four Zones participated. An innovation: the accompanying train. The spectators can now watch every phase of the race. The "eights" was competed for by eight teams. Here is one of the elimination bouts. Now, the start of the finals 5 clubs fight for victory. Among them the Mannheim team "Amicitia", the Muehlheim Rowing [...] and the Frankfurt Rowing Society "Germania".
"Amicitia" is very likely to. win. But there is a surprise. The rowers of the Flörsheim-Rüsselsheim Racing Club scored the victory. One member of the team was Georg von Opel who won the singles also. With this win he celebrated his 50th rowing victory.

b. Police Championships, Berlin

c. Water-ball, Wuppertal
For the first time since the war the German Waterball Championships were held in Wuppertal, the eight best teams of all Zones competing. Here the game of "Wasserfreunde"- Hannover against "Schwimmsportfreunde" Barmen. (White caps) The former 7-times German champion Hannover w[...] beaten by the Barmer team by 5 to 3. In the final match between "Duisburg 98" and the Barmers, the Barmers again performed with extraordinary skill.
