In Vienna Burgomaster Körner opened the building-show "England Reconstruct." Among the guestsof honour is the famous Austrian architect Clemens Holzmeister, who recently arrived from Turkey; the Britishambassador Sir Henry Mack; Chancellor Figl, and Minister Hurdes.
London's Chief Architect, Matthews, spoke about the manifold par[...]el problems of the reconstruction of Vienna and London. This show gives a survey over architectural planning in England.
Models and designs demonstrate the possibilities and necessities of present planning and future building. This traveling, instructive show has already been displayed in severel European cities.

b. D.P.'s to England
Every month a party of D.P.'s leaves the British Zone of Austria. In the camp at Karpfenberg in Steiermark the travellers assemble a few days before they leave. They are stateless subjects from Balkan and Balticlands. Approximately 500 to 600 persons make up the party.
They travel across Germany and Holland to London. The men get jobs in the coal mines and in the Steel factories and the women will work in the clothing industry.

c. Homecomer's Cross
In Maria-Saal near Klagenfurt a Thanksgiving Service for homecomers was held. Almost 10.000 people came to the little town.
While Dr. J. Köster, Archbishop of Carinthia, celebrated in the cathedral, a service was held before the church.
Then the Bishop blessed a Homecomer's Cross.
The ceremony was concluded by placing wreaths beneath the cross.
