This is the bed of the Rhine. The divingbell works against the pull of the current. The ruins are being pulled up to the ship. The temperature in the diving-bell rises to 60 degrees Celsius. But the work is carried on. A dangerous and adventurous profession.

c. Children Circus
Small, but oho! The youngsters from the Circus Belli perform for the first time. These children worked out a whole program, they have the world's first children's circus. A large city has grown in the midst of the Sahara. A big cotton spinning-mill was established here during the war. In day- and night-shifts 90 million meters of cotton are being produced per year. A modern community was built araound this factory. 45.000 laborers live here with their wives and children. A modern big city in the middle of the desert.

c. Canoe Race on the Moldau River
There was a thrilling canoe race on the Moldau. From the start in the South of Czechoslovakia it went down 160 kilometers to Prague. The first part of the race was extremely difficult. Halfway there was an intermission for all competitors. 160 kilometers of a dangerous and trying trip. The winner reached the goal in 13 hours.

04. USA: 150 Million People Are Being Counted
Every ten years the exact number of America's population and the economic and social structure is tabulated. 150.000 census-takers will visit every place and every home in the United States beginning with the 1st of April 1950. From the Canadian border down to Mexico, from the Atlantic to the Pacific every change of population will be recorded. All these statistics will give the government valuable information. To day 16 censuses have been taken in the USA. They show the growth of the United States during the last 160 years. Since 1790 when there were only a few people, the population of the USA went up to 132 millions. This time a total of 150 million people is estimated. How many people live in America? The 17th census in the history of the USA will prove it.
