Dr. Kurt Schumacher, Chairman of the SPD, made a speech in which he remembered the German POW's who are still prisoners in Soviet Russia. He declared: "The Western world had to confront Communism with social justice".

b. Future Citizens
In the course of the Allied Recruiting Program men of Eastern European countries were enlisted for voluntary service in the US Army. The first group of these men who emigrated or fled from their homelands were tested at Munich. The volunteers get their final military drill in America. They will have the opportunity of obtaining American citizenship and a permanent home in the US

c. US Airforce Band in Berlin
100.000 Berliners came to the Olympic Stadium at Berlin where 100 musicians of the United States Airforce Band gave a concert. Climax of this big open-air concert was the arrival of the conducter Lt. Col. Howard by helicopter. This military band from Washington is on tour through the world and received the cheers of the enthusiastic Berliners.

a. The Smallest School in the World

The tremendous North corner shows the master technique of the drivers from 6 nations. A second of horror - but Josef Peters from Duesseldorf masters the dangerous situation. Greifzu and Ulmen are still leading. Ulmen has to change tires - he loses 19 seconds and it is impossible for him to make up the lost time. Paul Greifzu leads by 1 kilometer and wins. A brilliant race and a great come-back for the Berlin Avus.

Everyone wanted to see the football final between 1. FC Kaiserslautern (dark dress) and Preussen Muenster, and the Olympic Stadium in Berlin was overcrowded. It was real master-play. The good team-play of 1. FC Kaiserslautern was cheered by the spectators, as was the tall goal keeper Mierzowski of the Preussen Muenster team. Exciting moments and a series of wonderful performances thrilled the crowd. The second half begins. 2 dramatic minutes and the first goal for Preussen Muenster is shot. Now, the forwards of Preussen Muenster try to shoot another goal but the defence of Kaiserslautern stands firm. But the Walter brothers surprise the flabbergasted crowd with an attack. Otmar Walter shoots the goal. The situations change as swift as lightning and in the 72nd minute, the Walter brothers shoot the decisive goal. The score is 2:1 for Kaiserslautern. The Stadium cheers the new German football champion. I was a wonderful game, played with technical mastership, and a well deserved victory for 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
