Korea and the whole world look to Kaesong, the scene of truce talks between the Supreme Command of the UN troops and the Communist aggressors. The town, situated near the 38th parallel, will be for weeks the central point for decisive discussions between the free world and the powers of the East. This is Kaesong as the UN troops left it last winter. The Communist's readiness for truce discussions are received by the free world with willingness but with utmost caution and vigilance. General Ridgway, Supreme Commander of the UN troops in Korea has the necessary authority for the discussions.

a. American Pilot Released
Waidhaus on the Bavarian-Czechoslovakian border. Here, the American pilot Roland who made a forced landing in Czechoslovakia, was released by Czech authorities and delivered to American authorities. The goal of this new league is understanding between the German end the Russian people. The Russian speakers emphasized that the people in the Soviet Union more and more oppose Bolshevist suppression. Oberburgomaster Reuter from Berlin said "We have to give our hand to the Russian people but we have to combat the Soviet regime without compromise".

d. Tempelhof Airport

The Inauguartion Of The Airlift Memorial
For eleven months, Berlin was cut off from the world by the Soviet blockade. For eleven months, it was only connected with the free world by the allied airlift. In thankfulness for the decisive help of the Western world for the freedom of Berlin, and in remembrance of the victims of the airlift, a memorial was inaugurated at Tempelhof Airport. High officials of the three Western Allies and more than 100.000 Berliners gathered on the square in front of the Tempelhof airfield. They remembered in this ceremony the 39 Americans, 31 Britains and 5 Germans who gave their lives for the saving of Berlin.
