b. Athletics, Ludwigshafen

He was far ahead of the German participants and won in 14,4 sec. The pole-vault way won by the American Jensen with 4,20 meters. In the 200 meters, it came to a sharp duel between world champion Rhoden, US, and the German Haas. Haas took only 21,5 sec. but was beaten by Rhoden in 21,4 sec.
