b. The Millionth CARE Parcel for Berlin
With a small celebration in Berlin, the millionth CARE Parcel was given to a refugee family with many children. These families are refugees from the East zone of Germany. On this occasion, Oberburgomaster Reuter honored again the work of this generous American organisation:

Then Oberburgomaster Reuter distributed together with the jubilee parcel 200 CARE parcels to refugee families. Since 1946, American citizens have given 10 million dollars to the CARE organisation for Berlin.

a. Music Ou of the Air
The Berlin artist Zitzmann-Zirini constructed this original electro-musical instrument. He called it the "Ether Waves Violin" and flabbergasted his audience with a vibrating ghost music out of the air. The hand interrupts the electric waves and transforms them into music. These sounds are normal reaction-coupling noises which are mastered by the magic hand movements of the musician and transformed into lovely melodies.

b. Dog Football
When ten boxers play football in the circus arena, a big show is on the way. The barking gladiators of the German circus "Apollo," now on tour through Italy, showed how temperamental four-leggers play snout-ball. The winners bark with joy and the last one is bitten by the dogs.

Oberstdorf was again the goal for tens of thousands of sport enthusiasts.
