02. The Air Plane Catastrophe Near Frankfurt

c. Car Race, Syracuse
Start for the "Grand Prix de Syracuse."The superiority of the new Ferrari 2 liters racing cars was obvious. With an average speed of 140 KPH, the heavy cars roared over the 324 km long track at the West coast of Sicily. In spite of strong international competition, three of the new Ferrari cars won the first three places. Alberto Ascari came in as No. 1.
