01 Konrad Adenauer, the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, died April 19, 1967 at the age of 91 at his home in Rhöndorf on the Rhine near the German capital Bonn. -As Konrad Adenauer resigned as Chancellor in 1963, he was awarded the highest honour, which has to give the German Parliament.
